APRIL EVENTS

 

NEW JERSEY LOCATIONS

The following events will take place at Berkeley College, 600 Getty Avenue, Clifton: 

April 12

Berkeley College will host an Immediate Decision Day from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The event offers all interested students immediate information regarding acceptance for the upcoming quarter.  Guests will have the opportunity to meet and greet staff and faculty, and learn about degree programs, as well as financial aid and scholarship opportunities.  Transfer students will learn about transfer opportunities.  Students interested in immediate decision must bring high school transcripts and take an entrance examination; however, those students who have already completed an Associate’s degree are exempt from the exam.  For further information, please call 1-800-446-5400, ext. April 12

Berkeley College will host a free Smoking Cessation Seminar from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.  This is an opportunity to learn how to make it easy to stop smoking.  If you follow this advice, you will wonder why you struggled for so long.  For more information, call 1-800-446-5400, ext. April 26

Berkeley College will host a FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid) Workshop at 10:00 am.  This hands-on workshop is for parents/guardians of high school seniors interested in applying for financial aid, and students are encouraged to attend.  How to apply for a PIN and a full explanation of the financial aid process will be discussed.  A presentation will take place on Berkeley College institutional aid in the form of scholarships and grants.  Parents/guardians can request a financial aid planning session by presenting their most recent income tax returns to a financial aid administrator.  For further information, please call 1-800-446-5400, ext. The following event will take place at Berkeley College, 1 Blackwell Street, Dover: 

April 16

Berkeley College will host a free Healthcare Seminar from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.  Attendees can examine the different roles and skills involved in healthcare.  Instructors with professional experience will discuss the training needed to get started.  For more information, call 1-800-446-5400, ext. Berkeley College will host a free Introduction to Game Design Workshop from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.  This hands-on introduction to the field of game design, led by Lawrence Mascia, interactivity designer and game developer, will help you to apply design skills and perspectives to your game projects.  No prior coding or art experience is necessary. April 30

Berkeley College will host a free Legal and Ethical Issues Workshop for artists and designers from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, led by Eileen MacAvery Kane, Chair, Graphic Design, School of Professional Studies, Berkeley College. Ms. MacAvery Kane’s blog, ethicsingraphicdesign.org, has gained international recognition, and her book, Ethics: A Graphic Designer’s Field Guide, has been praised by design educators. NEW YORK LOCATIONS

The following event will take place at Berkeley College, 255 Duffield Street, Brooklyn:  

April 11

Berkeley College will host the President’s Open House for Brooklyn Businesses from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm­­­—a complimentary luncheon, discussion and campus tour designed to help you grow your business. Business owners and managers, including members of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, are invited to this free event. The Berkeley College presenters include Dario A Cortes, PhD, President; Wolfgang Hinck, PhD, Dean, Larry L. Luing School of Business; and Raul Bedi, PhD, Associate Chair, Department of Management, Larry L. Luing School of Business.
