BERKELEY COLLEGE APPOINTS SHELLY NICE AS DIRECTOR,
CENTER FOR EXCELLENCE IN LEARNING AND TEACHING
Berkeley College Provost Glen Zeitzer, PhD, is proud to announce the appointment of Shelly Nice, MBA, as Director, Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching. In this role, Ms. Nice will focus on faculty development, including the staff’s use of technology, and coordinate academic service learning, research and scholarship opportunities. The Center promotes faculty excellence in learning, teaching and scholarship.
“The Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching at Berkeley College provides the support our faculty needs to be both innovative and effective,” said Dr. Zeitzer. “Ms. Nice will be a great asset to the Center in its mission to empower Berkeley College faculty and students to achieve great things.”
Ms. Nice most recently served Centenary College in Parsippany, NJ, in the areas of Curriculum and Faculty Development in Adult and Online Programs. She previously was Director of the Saturday Fast Track Program in Adult Education at the College of St. Elizabeth in Morristown, NJ.
Ms. Nice has been a frequent speaker at the Sloan Consortium as well as at the Stony Brook University Summer Colloquium. She sits on the Advisory Board for the Graduate Program in Corporate and Organizational Communication at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Ms. Nice holds an MBA in Marketing from Centenary College, an MA in Corporate and Organizational Communication from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a BA in Anthropology/Writing from Drew University.
