Berkeley College Appoints Chris W. Grevesen, PhD, as Dean, School of Graduate Studies

Berkeley College President Dario A. Cortes, PhD, is proud to announce the appointment of Chris W. Grevesen, PhD, as the first Dean of the new School of Graduate Studies.  In this role, Dr. Grevesen will launch the College’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in Management, which is being offered at the Woodland Park, NJ, location beginning in September 2015.  Dr. Grevesen will also be responsible for implementing innovative academic programs that resonate with employer needs and help students gain expertise in their field and advance professionally.                                                                                                            

“The extensive experience Dr. Grevesen brings in so many areas of college administration, along with his international expertise, will be a great asset to Berkeley College,” said Dr. Cortes. “We look forward to Dr. Grevesen’s role in positioning the School of Graduate Studies on a competitive track as we prepare the business leaders of tomorrow.”   

Dr. Grevesen has a wealth of administrative and teaching experience.  At DeVry University he served as President, New Jersey Campuses, and prior to that was Chief Academic Officer. He was also a Faculty Member in the Business Department and Dean of General Education.  Dr. Grevesen previously worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Brookdale Community College, Lincroft, NJ, and as a teacher of Foreign Languages in the Woodbridge Township School District.    

Dr. Grevesen holds a PhD in Management from Rutgers Business School, an MBA in Finance and Strategic Management from Rutgers Graduate School of Management, and a BA in Spanish and Education from Rutgers College.
