CAROL SMITH APPOINTED
BERKELEY COLLEGE ASSISTANT PROVOST
Glen Zeitzer, PhD, Berkeley College Provost, is pleased to announce that Carol Smith has been promoted to Berkeley College Assistant Provost.In her new role Ms. Smith, who formerly served as Dean of Berkeley College Online, will continue to manage teaching and learning for online students. In addition, she will assist the Provost with academic policies.
“Carol has shown an intense interest in the academic success of our students,” Dr. Zeitzer said. “She has years of experience in advisement, recruitment, retention and online and onsite instruction in both graduate and undergraduate courses that will serve her well in her new position.”
Ms. Smith began working at Berkeley College as Dean, Advisement, for the Garret Mountain Campus in Woodland Park, NJ, in June 2008. She was promoted to Dean, Berkeley College Online, in June 2009. Before coming to Berkeley College Ms. Smith worked at the College of Saint Elizabeth, NJ, where she served in a number of different roles, including Director of Continuing Studies and Saturday Fast Track Admissions. In addition, she taught graduate and undergraduate online and onsite courses at the College of Saint Elizabeth and Centenary College, NJ, and taught undergraduate business and management courses for Herzing University Online.
Ms. Smith has an MBA degree in Global Business Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University, NJ; a BS degree in Business Management from Centenary College, NJ; and an AS in Business Management and an AA in Liberal Arts from the County College of Morris, NJ.
