NEW JERSEY CAMPUSES

 

The following event will take place at Berkeley College, 536 Broad Street, Newark:

Criminal Justice Workshop:  Don’t miss this informative event with firsthand insight into the exciting Criminal Justice field from experts.  Learn about the training needed to get started from a police executive, a law enforcement officer, Berkeley College staff and alumni in this field.  The workshop runs from 6 to 8 p.m. and is free, but seating is limited. Berkeley College invites the public to a book reading, discussion and signing at the Gallery at Woodland Park from 1 to 3 p.m, hosted by Alethea Maguire-Cruz, Professor, Graphic Design, School of Professional Studies, Berkeley College.  Invited guest Art Gatti will discuss his book Songs of Mute Eagles, a series of bilingual poetry collections, illustrated by Ms. Maguire-Cruz.  Like many American journalists and writers, Mr. Gatti traveled this country chasing ideas and jobs, while accumulating images and priceless experiences that he has turned into poems. Berkeley College Online is collaborating with the Women’s Opportunity Center in Burlington and Camden Counties, NJ, a nonprofit organization, and invites the public to help with its toiletry drive. The Center supports servicewomen who are displaced homemakers—divorced, widowed, separated or with a spouse who has a permanent disability. Many have no income, have lost their homes and are looking for employment. The organization, while based in southern NJ, supports women from anywhere in the state.
