Berkeley College will host an Immediate Decision and Scholarship Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is for high school seniors and adult students.  Guests will have the opportunity to meet and greet staff and faculty, and learn about degree programs, as well as financial aid and scholarship opportunities.  Bring your high school transcript, college transcript or GED and get an immediate decision on admission. Berkeley College invites the public to a book reading, discussion and signing at the Gallery at Woodland Park, from 1 to 3 p.m, hosted by Alethea Maguire-Cruz, Professor, Graphic Design, Berkeley College School of Professional Studies, Berkeley College. Invited author and guest speaker Kristin Kaye will discuss her book Tree Dreams, a winner of the 2018 International Book Award in Fiction: Young Adult.  Ms. Kaye’s coming of age novel places her young heroine in the middle of burning questions facing the entire world, such as climate change and culture wars. It’s been called a work of wit and imagination that informs as well as inspires. Fashion Workshop:  Looking to get your foot in the door in the fashion industry?  At this event, learn firsthand about the experiences of fashion industry experts and participate in panel discussions with fashion professionals.  Moderated by Dena Bateh, PhD, Chair, Fashion, Berkeley College Larry L. Luing School of Business, the event includes guest speakers Christine Young, founder and owner, Stia Jewelry; Teresa Londino, Stylist, Macy’s and Kaitlyn Mattsson, Assistant Store, Manager, Macy’s. In honor of Women’s Entrepreneurship Week, Berkeley College will host a special event that includes panel discussions with prominent women leaders in New Jersey.  Women in Leadership:  Breaking Barriers is part of a global initiative to elevate the voices of women on key issues.  The event will focus on strategies for empowering women economically and politically, incubating the future of women entrepreneurs, and other important issues.  The audience will be comprised of more than 100 students, faculty, business leaders and media professionals.  There is no cost to attend.  Berkeley College will collect gently worn business clothing for Dress for Success at the event. Advance registration is required.

Fashion Event:  Meet with guest speaker Natalia Ramirez, Associate Director of Operations, Chanel, Inc. Ms. Ramirez has a wealth of experience at Chanel, a leading French fashion, fine jewelry and beauty house.  Also, go on a walking tour on Fifth Avenue, the premier fashion district, featuring world-renowned designer windows with WindowsWear, and learn what it takes to excel in the fashion industry.  The event runs from 2 to 4:30 p.m. and is free. October 12 – 14

 

The Berkeley College Office of Alumni Relations is pleased to announce Alumni Weekend 2018. The reunion weekend is an opportunity for the more than 50,000 Berkeley College alumni who comprise the Berkeley College Alumni Association to greet and network with fellow graduates and faculty.

Alumni and guests can choose from a variety of activities, including: a dinner cruise; event with guest speaker Pat Hedley, author of Meet 100 People; a reunion luncheon; New York City Public Library tour; rooftop reception; and the Making Strides Walk in Central Park.  Alumni will also have the opportunity to reconnect with the faculty, who are well-versed in their respective industries.
