BERKELEY COLLEGE ANNOUNCES MAY EVENTS

May 29

Berkeley College and Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC) will sponsor “Critical to Our National Security:  A Forum on Information Sharing for Public Health and Healthcare Sector Preparedness and Response,” at the John Theurer Cancer Center at HUMC in Hackensack, NJ.  The Forum is open to everyone, but particularly aimed at public and private healthcare providers, public health officials, industry representatives and emergency preparedness leaders.  The event is free, with limited seating.  For further information, please call 800-446-5400, ext. Berkeley College will host a free Interior Design Workshop from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.  This informative and hands-on workshop will cover how interior design has progressed from traditional to modern sustainable designs. Berkeley College faculty members will explain the ins and outs of the design business.  Participants will work on a project to renovate a Victorian home and have lunch with Vanessa DeLeon, former Berkeley College student and New York-based  interior designer and television personality. Berkeley College will host a FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid) Workshop from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  This hands-on workshop is for parents/guardians of high school seniors and for adult students interested in applying for financial aid, and students are encouraged to attend.  How to apply for a PIN and a full explanation of the financial aid process will be discussed.  A presentation will take place on Berkeley College institutional aid in the form of scholarships and grants.  Parents/guardians can request a financial aid planning session by presenting their most recent income tax returns to a financial aid administrator.  For further information, please call 800-446-5400, ext.
