          BERKELEY COLLEGE ANNOUNCES MARCH EVENTS

 

 

 

The following event will take place at the Hilton Hasbrouck Heights/Meadowlands,

650 Terrace Avenue, Hasbrouck Heights:

 

March 7

 

The Berkeley College Interior Design Department’s Fourth Annual Biddy Ball Awards Dinner will take place at the Hilton Hasbrouck Heights/Meadowlands, 650 Terrace Avenue, Hasbrouck Heights, from 8:00 pm to 12:00 am (cocktail hour from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm). The event features interior design networking, live entertainment, Master Research and Achievement Awards, dinner, dancing, and exhibits.  Tickets are $40 for students and alumni, and $50 for guests.  The attire is semi-formal, with red accessories suggested.  For more information or to purchase tickets, contact Norris Cannon at ncc@berkeleycollege.edu or 917-834-0176.

 

 

The following event will take place at The Venetian, 546 River Drive, Garfield:

 

March 18

 

The Third Annual Fashion Show, produced by the Berkeley College Fashion Club at Paramus, will take place at The Venetian, 546 River Drive, Garfield, from 6:00 – 10:00 pm.  Fashion Marketing and Management students will model jewelry from the Diamond Exchange, contemporary apparel from WHO.A.U., furs from Steven Corn Furs, and stylish business attire from Syms.  Tickets are $35 for students and $45 for guests. Berkeley College will host a FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid) Online Workshop from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.  This hands-on workshop is for parents/guardians of high school seniors interested in applying for financial aid, and students are encouraged to attend. How to apply for a PIN number and a full explanation of the financial aid process will be discussed.  A presentation will take place on Berkeley College institutional aid in the form of scholarships and grants.  Parents/guardians can request a financial aid planning session by presenting their 2007 income tax returns to a financial aid administrator.  For further information, please call 1-800-446-5400, ext. NEW YORK CAMPUSES

 

The following events will take place at Berkeley College, Midtown Campus, 3 East 43rd Street, New York City:

 

March 3-31

 

Berkeley College is exhibiting “Paintings from a Private Place,” the work of artist Linda Butti at the New York City Midtown Campus Gallery, First Floor Lobby, 3 East 43rd Street. Ms. Butti’s work has been shown in solo exhibitions that include the Elaine Benson Gallery in Bridgehampton, NY; Snug Harbor Cultural Center, Staten Island, NY; SUNY Institute of Technology, Utica, NY; and St. John’s University, New York, NY.   Her artwork is included in numerous public and private collections, including NBC Studios, Brenau University, Mitsubishi Capital, and the Chief Medical Examiner Offices of the city of New York.  In addition, she has been included in over 100juried group shows in venues as diverse as the Brooklyn Museum, Korea Invitational Exhibit, the Canajoharie Art Museum and Library, and the National Arts Club in New York City.   Visitors are invited to view this exhibit, which is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm and from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday.  An artist’s reception will be held on Wednesday, March 11, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.  For more information, please contact Berkeley Gallery Curator Robert Keiber at RJK@BerkeleyCollege.edu or 212-252-2065.
