JANUARY 2011 EVENTS

 

  NEW JERSEY LOCATIONS

The following event will take place at The Venetian, 546 River Drive, Garfield:

January 27

The Student Development and Campus Life Department at Berkeley College issponsoring itsFifth Annual Fashion Show, “All Around the World.” Benefiting Fashion for Autism, the event will take place at The Venetian, 546 River Drive, Garfield, from 6:00 – 10:00 pm.  Students will model apparel representing the United States, Africa, India, Indonesia, Japan, and Saudi Arabia.  Tickets are $27 for students (purchased before January 7), $32 for students (purchased on and after January 7), $40 for Berkeley College faculty and staff, and $45 for guests.  The attire is semiformal, and there will be a silent auction.  For more information or to purchase tickets, contact Berkeley College Student Development and Campus Life, at 973-642-3888, ext. 6182.  You can also e-mail jrl@BerkeleyCollege.eduor aba@BerkeleyCollege.edu.

 

The following events will take place at Berkeley College, Garret Mountain, 44 Rifle Camp Road, Woodland Park:

January 19      

Berkeley College will host an Open House from noon to 7:00 pm.  The event offers all interested students immediate information regarding acceptance for the upcoming quarter.  Guests will have the opportunity to meet and greet staff and faculty and learn about degree programs, as well as financial aid and scholarship opportunities.  Transfer students will learn about transfer opportunities.  Students interested in immediate decision must bring high school transcripts and take an entrance examination; however, those students who have already completed an Associate’s degree are exempt from the exam.  For further information, please call 1-800-446-5400, ext. Berkeley College will host a FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid) Workshop from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon and from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.  This hands-on workshop is for parents/guardians of high school seniors interested in applying for financial aid, and students are encouraged to attend. How to apply for a PIN and a full explanation of the financial aid process will be discussed.  A presentation will take place on Berkeley College institutional aid in the form of scholarships and grants.  Parents/guardians can request a financial aid planning session by presenting their most recent income tax returns to a financial aid administrator.  For further information, please call 1-800-446-5400, ext. The following events will take place at Berkeley College, Midtown, 3 East 43rd Street, New York City:

January 3-28  

Berkeley College is exhibiting the work of artist J. Dule at the Midtown Campus Gallery, First Floor Lobby, 3 East 43rd Street.  Mr. Dule’s paintings show a commitment to working out the views between the real and the imaginary, with continuous movement of gestures and marks.  His exhibit is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 7:30 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.  An artist’s reception will be held on Tuesday, January 12 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.  For more information, please contact Berkeley Gallery Curator Robert Keiber at rjk@BerkeleyCollege.edu or 212-252-2065.
