BERKELEY COLLEGE ANNOUNCES

CERTIFIED NURSE AIDE COURSE AND HEALTHCARE CAREER SEMINAR IN DOVER

The following event will take place at Berkeley College, 1 West Blackwell Street, Dover:

Berkeley College will again offer its new short-term Nurse Aide Certification course in February. This five-week course trains students to become Certified Nurse Aides (CNA) and is designed for those wishing to play a vital role in the healthcare field by enhancing the lives of others. During their CNA training students will spend 50 hours in the classroom and 40 hours in a clinical setting, working with the elderly and with patients in long-term care and sub-acute healthcare facilities.

The Berkeley College Nurse Aide Certification course satisfies the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services requirements for CNA training.  Graduates are eligible for certification provided they pass the skills and written/oral certification examination.

The next course begins at the Berkeley College location in Dover, 1 West Blackwell Street, on February 17.

To find out more, you can attend a Healthcare Seminar at this Dover location on Tuesday, February 3, at 5:00 pm, in the Student Lounge on the 3rd floor.  During this seminar, prospective students will learn about all of the clinical healthcare programs available at Berkeley College, including the Nurse Aide Certification course.

Careers in the Nurse Assistant field are expected to grow 21 percent, faster than average, between 2012 and 2022 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2014-15 Edition.
