                  BERKELEY COLLEGE ANNOUNCES AUGUST EVENTS

 

August 5, 12, 19, 26  

 

Berkeley College is pleased to sponsor “Sounds of the City” at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, One Center Street, Newark, from 5:00 to 10:00 pm. Confirmed artists include Elisabeth Withers, Vlada Tomova’s Balkan Tales, the Tomas Doncker Band, and DJ Hippie Torrales (August 5); Focus Trio featuring Marc Cary, Charanga Soleil, Mandingo Ambassadors, and DJ Neva (August 12), Kimberly Nichole, Gordon Chambers, Darien, and DJ Sabine (August 19); and David Cedeno and Orchestra, Pzazz Dance Company, Pasion Por La Vida, DJ Danny Ramirez, and DJ Jose Rodriguez (August 26).  For up-to-date information, visit www.njpac.org.

Berkeley College will offer a Paralegal Studies Certificate Program Information Session at 6:00 pm.  The goal of this session is to focus on the technical skills, general knowledge, and communication abilities necessary in this field.  Students will learn from outstanding faculty members who bring practical experience, as well as exceptional learning, into the classroom.  For more information, call 800-446-5400, ext. Berkeley College will offer a Health Services Information Session at 6:00 pm.  The goal of this session is to familiarize students with the expanding health services industry and inform them about necessary business and technology skills. August 5

 

Berkeley College will offer a Fashion Marketing and Management Information Session at 6:00 pm.  The goal of this session is to help students understand the fashion industry from product development to consumer. August 11

August 28

 

Berkeley College will host an Open House from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.  The event offers all interested students immediate information regarding acceptance for the upcoming quarter.  Guests will have the opportunity to meet and greet staff and faculty and learn about online degree programs, as well as financial aid and scholarship opportunities.  Transfer students will learn about transfer opportunities. NEW YORK CAMPUSES

 

The following events will take place at Berkeley College, Midtown Campus, 3 East 43rd Street, New York City:

 

August 2-27

 

Berkeley College is exhibiting the work of artist Holly Ann Sailors at the Midtown Campus Gallery, First Floor Lobby, 3 East 43rd Street.  Ms. Sailors is a versatile artist whose work embraces symbolism, metaphors, illustrations, and the narrative.  She is the recipient of many grants and residencies through the North Carolina Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.  Her exhibit is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 7:30 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.  An artist’s reception will be held on Wednesday, August 11 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.  For more information, please contact Berkeley Gallery Curator Robert Keiber at rjk@BerkeleyCollege.edu or 212-252-2065. 

 

August 9
