BERKELEY COLLEGE ANNOUNCES APRIL EVENTS

 

 

The following event will take place at The Radisson Martinique, 49 West 32nd Street, New York, NY:

 

April 16

Berkeley College will host a Virtual Open House for students from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.   Anyone interested will have the chance to learn about Berkeley College degree programs and transfer opportunities.  Online courses can help students balance coursework with family, work, and social responsibilities.  Students will be able to log onto classes from work, home, or anywhere there is Internet access.  For more details and information on how to register, please call 973-405-2111 or e-mail online@berkeleycollege.edu.

 

April 24

Berkeley College will host a FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid) Workshop from 11:00 am to noon and from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.  This hands-on workshop is for parents/guardians of high school seniors interested in applying for financial aid, and students are encouraged to attend. How to apply for a PIN number and a full explanation of the financial aid process will be discussed.  A presentation will take place on Berkeley College institutional aid in the form of scholarships and grants.  Parents/guardians can request a financial aid planning session by presenting their 2009 income tax returns to a financial aid administrator.  For further information, please call 800-446-5400, ext. Berkeley College School of Continuing Education will offer Academic Refresher Workshops from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm.  They are presented by Berkeley College faculty members who have experience in teaching basic reading, writing, or math courses and have been trained in test-taking strategies.  The Math Refresher Workshops are open to students who have applied to Berkeley College. Participants will practice and review arithmetic skills needed to show proficiency when taking ACCUPLACER (the nationally recognized placement test).  The Reading and Writing Workshop leaders will review the skills necessary to show proficiency on the reading, sentence skills, and writing sections of ACCUPLACER.  A consultation with an admissions representative is required before registration.  For more information, please call 212-986-4343, ext. 4511.
