BERKELEY COLLEGE ALUMNUS RECEIVES OUTSTANDING STUDENT INTERN
AWARD FROM THE NEW YORK TIMES COMPANY
Berkeley College is proud to announce that Ernest Kruah Jr. of Englewood, NJ, has received the Outstanding Student Intern award from The New York Times Company. Mr. Kruah was a summer 2011 intern in the Corporate Controller Department.
He was presented with the award at a recent luncheon hosted by The New York Times Internship Program. The award is given once per quarter to the student who has done the most outstanding work in his or her internship.
“The New York Times Company was an eye-opener to the real world of accounting and corporate culture,” said Mr. Kruah. “My summer internship offered me priceless learning experience from the many professionals I encountered.”
Mr. Kruah was placed in the internship by the Berkeley College Career Services Department. The Department includes more than 20 career professionals who actively pursue internships and job opportunities that are best suited to a student’s field of study and abilities.
Mr. Kruah, a 2011 graduate of Berkeley College in Paramus, holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree. While a student at the College, he was named several times to the President’s and Dean’s lists for his high GPA, and was a member of the Financial Management Association National Honor Society.
