theBROOKLYNfashionincubator AT BERKELEY COLLEGE
HOSTS HOLIDAY POP-UP SHOP IN MANHATTAN

Photo Caption: theBROOKLYNfashionincubator (BFI) at Berkeley College hosted a special holiday pop-up shop at the 12 East 41st Street campus in Midtown Manhattan, NY, on November 30, 2017. The shopping event gave customers the chance to purchase and interact directly with the incubator’s designers-in-residence, Berkeley College alumni, and emerging designers. A percentage of the sales were donated to the Berkeley College Foundation, Inc., and the BFI at Berkeley College.

Designers-in-residence from the BFI at Berkeley College also were recently the focus of “Where’d You Get That?” a weekly fashion segment on the FOX 5 morning program “Good Day New York.” Click here to watch the television appearance and to learn more about the incubator.

Pictured below on the left, Berkeley College alumnus Andrew Lopez of Brooklyn, NY, shows a customer soap made from essential oils produced by his company, Gold Roses Brand. On the right, designer-in-residence Milagros Batista shows Maria Barraza, Director of the BFI at Berkeley College, new hand-made knitwear from her company, Batista Collections.
