SUSSEX COUNTY RESIDENTS HONORED AS BERKELEY
COLLEGE SCHOOL OF HEALTH STUDIES PINS GRADUATES
Graduates in the Practical Nurse program of the Berkeley College School of Health Studies were honored during a pinning ceremony held on October 13, 2017, in Woodland Park, NJ. Reciting the Florence Nightingale Pledge, the 37 graduates promised to uphold the integrity of the nursing profession before receiving their honors.
The following graduates from Sussex County, NJ, received pins:

Josiane Hickson, EdD, RN-BC, NE-BC, Chair, Nursing and Patient Care Technician programs, Berkeley College School of Health Studies, gave the welcome address and congratulated the graduates.
“The pin you receive today from Berkeley College represents a symbol of our great respect and fondness for each of you,” Dr. Hickson said. “Please wear it proudly and know that we are one with you on your journey to professional practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Your mission now is to care for your patients, advocate for them and promote environments that are conducive to healing.”
Practical Nurses provide care to their patients in a variety of healthcare environments, including physicians’ offices, clinics, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers and home healthcare settings.
