Lisa Voyticki is a reporter and fill-in anchor for NY1 covering breaking news.

 

Previously, Ms. Voyticki worked for NJTV News, and was the lead multimedia journalist and anchor for the 5 p.m. news at WMBC-TV 63, a CNN affiliate. She also reported from New Jersey’s capitol for WZBN-TV, and worked with the news teams at Fox News Channel and News 12 Networks.

 

Ms. Voyticki was one of the first reporters on the scene of the fatal Hoboken train crash in 2016. Her breaking story led her to be interviewed live on the BBC and Australia’s ABC News. A seasoned journalist, she has won numerous awards for investigating the dilapidated Port Authority Bus Terminal and for her series of reports on the devastation of Hurricane Sandy. In 2014, Ms. Voyticki was chosen to participate in the distinguished RIAS German-American Journalists Exchange program through RTDNA. 

 

She graduated with honors from the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College.
