BRIAN MAHER APPOINTED VICE PRESIDENT
OF CAREER SERVICES FOR
BERKELEY COLLEGE

Dario A. Cortes, PhD, President of Berkeley College, recently announced the appointment of Brian Maher to the position of Vice President of Career Services. In this role, Mr. Maher will be responsible for providing leadership, vision and support to the Career Services staff at all Berkeley College locations.

“Career Services is a natural progression for Mr. Maher given his experience and his track record at impacting student success at Berkeley College,” said Dr. Cortes.

Mr. Maher had assumed the role of Interim Vice President, Career Services, earlier this year, and he serves on the Berkeley College Board of Trustees Task Force for Career Services.  He previously served Berkeley College as Director of Athletics for five years.  During that time, Mr. Maher expanded the number of intercollegiate athletic programs offered at Berkeley College from two to 11, and the number of intercollegiate matchups from 27 to more than 140 per year.  Mr. Maher also oversaw eight conference championships by Berkeley College teams, led the College’s membership in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, and served as President of both the Hudson Valley Men’s and Women’s Athletic conferences.

Prior positions Mr. Maher held at Berkeley College include Director of Student Development and Campus Life at the Woodland Park location, and Director of Alumni Relations.

Mr. Maher holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Le Moyne College, Syracuse, NY.

A leader in providing career-focused education for more than 80 years, Berkeley College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and enrolls approximately 8,000 students — including more than 900 international students — in its Baccalaureate and Associate degree and Certificate programs. The College has three New York locations — Midtown Manhattan, Brooklyn and White Plains. In New Jersey there are six locations — Woodland Park, Paramus, Woodbridge, Newark, Clifton and Dover. Berkeley College Online also offers full degree programs. Programs are offered in more than 20 career fields. The website address is www.BerkeleyCollege.edu
