BERKELEY COLLEGE STUDENT FROM STATEN ISLAND RECEIVES
SCHOLARSHIP FROM INTERNATIONAL COMMERCE CLUB NJ
Berkeley College is proud to announce that Adriana Abreu of Staten Island, NY, has received a scholarship from the International Commerce Club NJ.
Ms. Abreu is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in International Business at Berkeley College in Midtown Manhattan. It is the second consecutive year Ms. Abreu has received the scholarship.
The goal of the International Commerce Club, based in Secaucus, NJ, is to foster international trade and development in the tri-state area. Ms. Abreu was awarded the scholarship for the quality of her essay about the proposed Transatlantic Free Trade Agreement between the United States and the European Union.
“The International Commerce Club has partnered with Berkeley College for several years,” said Karin Alfonso, ICC President. “We continue to be impressed with the aptitude and qualifications of Berkeley College students who compete for the scholarship each year.”
A leader in business education for more than 80 years, Berkeley College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and enrolls more than 7,700 students — including over 800 international students — in its Baccalaureate and Associate degree programs. The College has four New Jersey locations — Woodland Park, Paramus, Woodbridge and Newark. In New York there are three locations — Midtown Manhattan, Brooklyn and White Plains.
