Photo Caption: Berkeley College student Natalia Ramirez of Clifton, NJ, recently won a design competition to attend Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City. The Fashion Marketing and Management major, who attends Berkeley College in Paramus, submitted a design selected by Rowenta, a manufacturer of high-performance steam irons and garment steamers. Rowenta invited fashion lovers, amateur designers and design students to submit a sketch via social media that highlighted fabric manipulation techniques using an iron. Ms. Ramirez received tickets to the Monique Lhuillier fashion show, sampled new products and met fashion consultant and television personality Tim Gunn.
