Photo Caption: Berkeley College student Emily Lausell of Manhattan, NY, was recently recognized for winning first place for her essay on the topic, “What Advice Would You Give Your Younger Self?” in the 2016 Online Essay Contest conducted in celebration of National Distance Learning Week.  Ms. Lausell is scheduled to graduate in Spring 2019 with a BS in Information Technology Management. She wrote about her thoughts while looking in a mirror. “I would tell her to be kind to herself,” wrote Ms. Lausell. “There are no such things as mistakes for they are your future lessons. No matter how long you’ve been walking in the wrong direction, you can always turn yourself around.”

Berkeley College has been ranked among the Best Colleges for Online Bachelor’s Degree Programs by U.S. News & World Report from 2014 through 2017.  Pictured (L to R): Ms. Lausell receives a gift for her achievement from Patianne Stabile, DA, Berkeley College Director, Center for Academic Success, Midtown Manhattan.
