National Distance Learning Week celebrates growth, accomplishments in online learning

Photo Caption: Berkeley College student Fayon Ashley of Bayonne, NJ, was recently recognized for winning second place for her essay on the topic “What Keeps You Motivated to Graduate?” More than 100 Berkeley College students participated in the 2015 Online Essay Contest in celebration of National Distance Learning Week, which recognizes growth and accomplishments in the field of online learning. “It is the future me that I strive to be. That is a woman full of love, courage, strength, knowledge and an open mind,” Ms. Ashley writes. “That is a woman who wants more. That is a woman with a gentle soul and warm hands to give, and give all that she can.” To read the winning essays, click here. This month, Berkeley College was ranked among the Best Colleges for Online Bachelor’s Degree Programs by U.S. News & World Report for the third consecutive year.
