Berkeley College is presenting the artwork of Sylvie Goy Granger at its Midtown Manhattan Gallery, 3 East 43rd Street, New York City.  The exhibit is on display from May 1 through June 30, 2017 — Mondays through Fridays — from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A self-taught artist, Ms. Granger was born in France and resides today in the French Alps.

In her work, Ms. Granger wants to reveal the light, the sublime.  “I seek to show the beauty and the divinity in beings,” she said.  “My paintings are nourished with complexity and almost every halo of light is adorned with a haunting shadow.”

She has exhibited her work all across France, including the Gallery of Saint-Genix-Pouilly, the Gallery L’Etranger of Grenoble, the Casino Chamoix-Mont-Blanc and the Mobalpa Showroom, Paris.

“We continue to bring in artists from around the world for our students and the public to appreciate and enjoy,” said Robert Keiber, Curator, Midtown Manhattan Gallery, Berkeley College.  “In the business and cultural community of the present day, it is particularly important for our students to be exposed to international art.”

For more information about the exhibit, email Mr. Keiber at rjk@BerkeleyCollege.edu or call 212-252-2065.
