 BERKELEY COLLEGE OFFERS
ACADEMIC REFRESHER WORKSHOPS

Berkeley College is pleased to announce that in April and May it will offer Academic Refresher Workshops through the School of Continuing Education. These Saturday classes will be offered at the New York City Midtown Campus. The workshops will be presented by Berkeley College faculty members who have experience in teaching basic reading, writing or math courses and have been trained in test-taking strategies.

“Upon completion of the Academic Refresher Workshops students will be better prepared to take the Berkeley College entrance exam,” says Ricardo Ortegón, Berkeley College Dean of the School of Continuing Education.

The Math Refresher Workshops are opened to students who have applied to Berkeley College and are designed for those who have been away from mathematics for two or more years. Participants will practice and review arithmetic skills needed to show proficiency when taking the math section of ACCUPLACER (a nationally recognized placement test used to measure skills in reading, English and math). Participants in the Reading and Writing Workshop will review the skills necessary to show proficiency on the reading, sentence skills and writing sections of ACCUPLACER.

Academic Refresher Workshops will be offered 10 am to 2:30 pm April 17 and 24; and May 1, 8, 15, and 22. Workshop fees will be applied toward future tuition cost if students are admitted and enroll at Berkeley College. A consultation with an Admissions representative is required before workshop registration. For more information call (212) 986-4343, ext. 4511.
