BERKELEY COLLEGE ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENTS

OF ASSOCIATE PROVOSTS AND DEANS

IN SUPPORT OF STRATEGIC PLAN

 

As part of a new Strategic Plan, Vision for the Future, 2010-2015, which calls for the establishment of five schools within Berkeley College, President Dario A. Cortes, PhD, announces the appointments of Beth Coyle, EdD, as Associate Provost of Academic Support Services and Marianne P. Vakalis, EdD, as Associate Provost of Faculty Affairs.

 

New deans include John Rapanos, DPS, CFP, for the School of Business; William F. Cipolla, PhD, for the School of Liberal Arts; Marisol Abuin, JD, for the School of Professional Studies; and Ricardo Ortegón, MBA, for the School of Continuing Education.

 

“This dynamic, well-qualified team of professionals has the dedication and creativity needed to make our Strategic Plan not just a reality, but a success,” says Berkeley College President Dario A. Cortes, PhD.

 

“Those of us who have had the opportunity to work with these individuals admire their commitment to academic excellence, and I know that the future holds only positive things for Berkeley College under their leadership,” adds Berkeley College Provost Glen Zeitzer, PhD.

 

A leader in business education for 78 years, Berkeley College maintains an enrollment of over 7,200 students, with more than 700 international students in its Baccalaureate and Associate degree programs. The College has two New York campuses in Midtown Manhattan and White Plains, an Extension Center in Lower Manhattan in the Wall Street area, and four New Jersey campuses located in Woodland Park (formerly West Paterson), Paramus, Woodbridge, and Newark. In addition, the College offers Berkeley College Online and its Corporate Learning Partnership program. All campuses are accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
