BERKELEY COLLEGE MEN’S TENNIS TEAM CAPTURES
HVIAC CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE

The Berkeley College Men’s Tennis team, New York, recently capped its inaugural season in dazzling fashion, as the Knights captured the 2015 Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title, scoring 16 points on the day to solidify the crown. The College held off stiff competition from The Culinary Institute of America, with the Steels finishing as the runners-up with 14 points.

“From the very beginning of this season, our student-athletes wanted it to be known that we weren’t going to be content with just participating,” said David Eddy, Berkeley College Head Coach, Men’s Tennis team. “They wanted to compete for a conference championship, and now they’ve reached the pinnacle of what you strive for in this conference. Every one of them contributed today, and this was a total team effort.”

Mr. Eddy, a graduate of Western Kentucky University, joined the Knights at the beginning of the season, bringing with him more than 40 years of experience as a professional tennis player and coach. As a player, he has competed in most major tournaments throughout the world, including the French Open, U.S. Open and Wimbledon.
