BERKELEY COLLEGE ATHLETE FROM BROOKLYN NAMED ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
BY HUDSON VALLEY INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETIC CONFERENCE

Berkeley College is proud to announce that junior forward Patricia Patterson of Brooklyn in Kings County, NY, has been named Rookie of the Week by the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) for women’s basketball. Ms. Patterson attends Berkeley College in Midtown Manhattan.

Ms. Patterson received back-to-back HVIAC Rookie of the Week honors during the weeks of January 7 and January 14. During the week of January 7, she posted a double-double, netting 19 points and snatching 13 rebounds against Medgar Evers College. She earned the honor during the week of January 14 for helping the Knights capture the NHTI New Year’s Tournament. In the championship game against Massasoit Community College, Ms. Patterson scored 17 points and snatched 15 rebounds.

“Patricia is very deserving of the honors that were bestowed on her,” said Sharod Tomlinson, Berkeley College Head Coach, Women’s Basketball, New York. “She will be a key piece to our puzzle down the stretch of this season.”
