Berkeley College Appoints Michelle Lemieux as Director of Alumni Affairs

Berkeley College Senior Vice President of Institutional Advancement and External Relations Lily Sidorovich is pleased to announce the appointment of Michelle Lemieux as Director of Alumni Affairs. In this role Ms. Lemieux will direct, maintain, and supervise the Alumni Affairs Office in accordance with the new strategic plan of the College, oversee alumni communications, and support the Alumni board and related committees.


“Michelle comes to this position with valuable experience in communications, writing, public relations, and government relations.  This will further the Berkeley alumni network as Michelle advances alumni engagement within the College community, adding to their career success,” said Ms. Sidorovich.


Before joining Berkeley College, Ms. Lemieux was the Director of Communications for the American Red Cross of Northern New Jersey headquartered in Fairfield, NJ. In that role she served as the spokesperson and lead communicator for six community chapters. In addition, she worked at on-site disasters, including the Continental Airlines Flight 3407 that crashed into a home in Buffalo in February 2009; the US Airways Flight 1549 that came down in the Hudson River in January 2009; and the 2008 Tennessee tornadoes that were reported to have been the deadliest in more than 20 years.


Previous to working in the nonprofit sector, Ms. Lemieux was Senior Account Executive – Media Relations for Brainerd Communicators, Inc., NY. In this role she handled media and entertainment clients. In addition to the nonprofit and media industries, Ms Lemieux has experience in the corporate, consumer, beauty and fashion sectors. 


Ms. Lemieux earned a BA degree in Communications from Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ.
