BERKELEY COLLEGE 5TH ANNUAL SALUTE TO VETERANS ON APRIL 6
HONORS MILITARY

 

WHEN: Thursday, April 6, 2017; 7 pm; interviews available prior to and during event

WHAT:

  • Presentation of The Veterans History Project in conjunction with the U. S. Library of Congress
  • The Goldstar Reflection and Veterans Reflection Projects, two exhibits which honor Gold Star families of those lost in combat, and express the perceptions of veterans
  • Keynote speaker Brittney Hogan, Gold Star wife, and creator of Virago Fitness, affordable apparel to benefit veterans
  • Skyla, Rescue Dog Trainee, Berkeley College Office of Military and Veterans Affairs

About the Berkeley College Office of Military and Veterans Affairs:

The Berkeley College Office of Military and Veterans Affairs supports the G.I. Bill and Yellow Ribbon Program, and collaborates on national ventures with the National Guard, the Army and the Air Force, the GoArmyEd distance learning program, and the Navy College Program Distance Learning Partnership. The College was honored in 2017 as a military-friendly school by Military Advanced Education and Military Times magazines.  Also, this year U.S. News & World Report ranked Berkeley College No. 65 for Best Online Bachelor’s Programs for Veterans.   

 

More than 500 military students and veterans are enrolled at Berkeley College in New York and New Jersey, and through Berkeley College Online®. Veterans Resource Centers, available at a number of the campuses and online, offer environments to study, socialize and obtain information about a wide range of veterans’ benefits and issues.
